0 Cross cutting/bucking

Before starting to cut through the log, try to imagine what is going to happen. Lock out

for stresses in the log and cut through it in such a mannerthat the guide bar will not get

pinched.

Cross cutting logs, pressure on top

Firm stance. Begin with an upper cut. Do not cut too deeply — about V3 of the log

diameter is enough. Finish with a bottom cut. The saw cuts should meet.

Quersägen/Trennen

Bevor Sie mit dem Trennen des Stammes beginnen, denken Sie erst an die möglichen

Folgen. Achten Sie auf Belastungen im Stamm und sägen Sie ihn so durch, dass sich

die Schiene nicht festklemmt.
